Audeering, that’s audio intelligence made in Bavaria. The name is derived from „Intelligent Audio Engineering“. The Munich-based start-up has developed an empathic AI that uses speech analysis to identify the state of mind and needs of people. The vision: machines should be able to interpret speech better than other people. The areas of application are broad and range from commerce and personal assistance to health and therapy. For example, AI can help companies better understand their customers or be used to treat dementia patients and prevent depression or burn-outs. Prominent customers of the Munich voice-KI are Huawei, BMW and Red Bull.
EPIC INSIGHTS
Jena-based Epic Insights specializes in smart data, predictive analytics and machine learning for online retailers and marketers. Their epicAI enables companies and brands to take an objective, purely data-driven look at the target groups of a website or online shop. This results in „fluid personas„. On the basis of the data, the AI predicts the user’s need at the moment he or she enters a website and shows him or her the right solution or product. The predictive intelligence of Epic Insights is supposed to provide more relevance and customer satisfaction.
DEEPL
DeepL – formerly Linguee – is an online service for machine translation of texts. The company from Cologne claims that their translation AI is better than solutions from Google, Microsoft and Facebook. By name, DeepL is a deep learning network. This means that it feeds itself with data in the form of ever new text entries by users and thus independently optimises the translation results.
UBERMETRICS
The Berlin-based start-up Ubermetrics offers its customers cloud-based media monitoring and analytics software and describes itself as a leading content intelligence platform for marketing and PR experts. The AI-driven technology is based on data mining. Similar to machine learning, an algorithm works independently to recognize patterns in a database.
